 MULTIPLEX DELIVERY SYSTEM
(MDS)
Shown installed on a Summit Medical Equipment Company Portable Anesthesia Machine, the MDS is available in 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 flowmeter configurations. The Multiplex Delivery System (MDS) allows an investigator to have up to six devices connected to one anesthesia system. One possible configuration would be an induction chamber and up to five non-rebreathing systems operating simultaneously during a study.
With the exception of the 2 station MDS, a 0 to 12 liter per minute flowmeter and a pressure relief valve are required. The pressure relief valve is a safety device which prevents excessive gas pressure from damaging your anesthetic vaporizer. A pressure relief valve is included with the 3 to 6 station MDS. The MDS can be installed on any system using a Summit Medical Equipment Company Universal Mounting Block (p/n AA-00-0915).
DUAL DIVERTER MANIFOLD
Shown installed on a Summit Medical Equipment Company Portable Anesthesia Machine, the Dual Diverter Manifold allows the user to operate 2 devices (i.e. an induction chamber and non-rebreathing system) from one anesthesia system. It can be installed on any system using a Summit Medical Equipment Company Universal Mounting Block (p/n AA-00-915).
HUMIDIFIER FOR LONG TERM
RODENT ANESTHESIA
The Long Term Rodent Humidifier allows investigators to conduct longer duration studies without the risk of dehydration of the subject's nasal mucosa. Sterile water is placed in the humidifier which is connected in line with the anesthetic gas source. Humidification of the gases occurs at all commonly used flow rates. It is recommended that the water in the humidifier be changed after every use or every 6 hours.
The Hallowell Model 2000 Ventilator
The HEMC Model 2000 is a time controlled, volume-constant, pressure limited ventilator. Easy to learn and remember how to operate with only two controls to adjust ventilation and one to set an alarm. Easily exchangeable bellows and bellows housings minimizes the ventilators dead space contribution to the breathing system and provides better resolution of tidal volume deliveries. The change between housings can easily be made in 30 seconds. Parts in contact with the breathing system are easily accessible for cleaning and sterilization.

All rodent face masks are shipped with 2 O-rings for attaching the latex membrane to the mask and one 6" X 6" sheet of 12 mil latex to make additional face mask membranes. Additional O-rings and 6" X 30" sheets of latex are also available for purchase.
